A Simple Chance and Understanding [December and Derrik Only!]

Derrik sat and fed the small fire. He had just stormed from what was the equal to torture in the dining hall. No one understood what this was and how it made him feel. He was a warewolf and had no where to go. He had no money to support himself. His parents hated him. His tribe was resentful of him. He was alone, no one in the world cared. He did not understand how his own ''friends'' could turn their backs on him. Derrik, alone, began to silently cry.

He had no one. No one was there to help. Life had reared it's ugly head. Derrik had been dealt a hand that he had no chance of winning with. He had to accept his life was over. He had nothing. No one. He was, quite honestly, a lone wolf.

December sat silently with her back up against a nearby evergreen tree. er lone pale eyes shivered with tears as she watched one of her former teachers sit alone on one of the camp-fire logs and sob softly to himself. She never would've pictured one of her role-models, feeling just as worthless as she did when she was pick down by her fellow freshmen. Watching through her oddly abnormal wide pale eyes, December stood up from her spot and shyly made her way to her teacher. "Hello Mr. Wright," she greeted, waving her sweater covered hand as she quickly took a sit next to him. She knew exactly how he felt, but she just wasn't use to the fact of talking to anyone. Surprisingly she was able to make at least one fired, Ava, the newly kind fairy that accepted her for who she was and not Cosette's younger sister. Looking straight a head, December awkwardly spoke her angelic tone to the wolf, "Are you okay?"

Derrik turned and looked at December. ''You don't have to call me Mr. Wright anymore. I am not your teacher and never will be again. Call me Derrik.'' Derrik started to wipe his eyes. He felt odd that someone saw him crying. ''I am sorry you have to see this. I just don't have anywhere to go after this.''

Derrik twideld a stick in his left hand. He was very sorry and had never had to depend on someone. He had always been on his own. His life was coming to an end as soon as he could say sorry.

Derrik glanced at her former teacher with round icy cold eyes, the same eyes that run corely through her family. "Calling you by your first name would show disrespect," she started, blinking innocently, "You don't deserve to be disrespected," she silently told him as she cuddled herself in a hug. She looked down, when her company began to clear his tears. She still couldn't believe how valuable he was for being a werewolf. December would never catch Cosette die crying over something so dreadful, not even when she's playing the pity card. When he interrupted her thoughts with apologizes, December looked at her former teacher again. "Don't be. No one deserves this, not even you," she spoke, her bleached blonde hair swaying in the wind behind her.
